Diavik Diamond Mine has awarded Det’on Cho Nahanni Construction the bid to do the civil works on four windmills being built at the mine site. The four 2.3 megawatt turbines will be constructed providing a capacity of 9.2 megawatts and help reduce Diavik’s diesel consumption by approximately four million litres per year.

Nahanni will be working on the civil aspects of the project including construction of the foundations and providing operator/equipment support. During construction, Nahanni will be assisting the contractor with OHSE support.

Det’on Cho Nahanni is proud to be part of this project and regular updates will be found on the project page of our site as progress is made.
